The Interaction of Internet and Mobile Services

The Internet has become an inseparable part of everyday life. This has inevitably brought the need for getting online quickly and on the go. And the mobile phone, being the smallest and most convenient device possessed by almost every adult, has started to be used more and more often for the purpose. This has opened a totally new area of possibilities for the companies as well as the mobile operators, but at the same time has set challenges that need to be overcome. One of the main challenges is delivering content and services especially tailored for the specifics of the mobile networks and devices. The lecture will also explore different tendencies in the development of the new generation mobile Internet services and will look into the driving factors behind these developments in order see how the Internet is becoming truly mobile for the first time.

 Mr Atanas Raykov has graduated Business Administration in the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University. Atanas is member of vivatel’s team since 2005 and worked on e-Marketing aspect of the commercial launch of the operator as part of the Marketing Communications Department. Later he coordinated numerous vivatel Internet campaigns, interactive demonstrations of telecommunications services and worked on new ways to use mobile Internet to enhance vivatel’s product portfolio and communication channels. Currently he is part of the New Product Development Department and as Manager Converged Services is working on ways to successfully exploit the opportunities which network and service convergence is opening for the ICT industry to provide products and services that are providing their customers with better ways for mobile Internet browsing and some brand new experiences. |
